Bike Hugger Shirts

Jul 21, 2006  ·  07:28 AM  ·  permalink

hugga shirts By popular demand, we’ve got shirts being printed and they’ll be available soon. I know I’ve wanted one and will wear it off the bike, at races, events, and everywhere else.

The response to Bike Hugger has been great, better than expected, and we appreciate it. Here’s an example from Winky

I love this — in fact I love it so much I want to buy t shirts. Isn’t that the ultimate show of loving something creative and idealists — turning it into a retail experience.

Considering a retail experience, if the shirts sell well (and I think they will), we’ve got a whole line in mind, as well as schwag. If you’re interested in a shirt, post a comment and we’ll get them to you first.

Going into the Fall and the next cycling season, we’ll sponsor a women’s cycling team and you’ll see us at more events. Look for even more Bike Hugger.

Me, too. And I heart the idea of sponsoring a women’s cycling team. Good on you lot.

Excellent! The racing scene here, especially for women, is really growing.

I want shirts, too! And patches would be awesome!

Last time I rode STP, it was with my husband and his cousin, who had team shirts made for the three of us. To keep up the humour of our fake team, Cousin Crazy Larry had “sponsors” silkscreened onto the shirts as well. Well, one sponsor: Taco John’s. It got quite a bit of laughs from other riders, and we plan on adding Voodoo Doughnuts to the other sleeve next year. I think we might also have to add Bike Hugger.

Hopefully we won’t get sued! :) In the mean time, bring on the schwag!

Scout,

Schwag is coming! No need to add fake sponsors, just get our shirt! We’ll be more involved with STP next year.

An update on the shirts is that we’ve got them ordered and they’ll be ready in about 2 weeks. We’ll notify you all with the purchase details and this is great! I can’t wait to see other bike huggers out there wearing the goods.

I just found your site and love it. I’ve just started commuting to work via my Specialized Mtn Bike. Great site and I would definitely be interested in purchasing a shirt.

Andy,

Thanks! We’re rushing them to print and great to hear your commuting.

Allrighty, based on the continued demand, we’re taking pre-orders now for the shirts. They’ve available from our Amazon.com store (where we also sell Clip-n-Seals). Check our purchase page for more info and links to sizes.

If you’re rather wait until they’re in stock, by posting here, you’re the first on the list.
