Update
- The Seattle PI’s reports on the hit-and-run with comments (surprisingly light on the anti-bikeness)
- Oregonian report
- KPTV’s report

This definitely sounds like the driver was at fault—but it is scary to watch some riders on big rides (ESPECIALLY the STP)! I saw several riders who were lucky not to suffer the same fate from a sober and attentive driver.
I’d be more than happy to see the reckless and dangerous cyclists get handed tickets or stripped of their registration… it would help gain support from non-cyclists when a tragedy like this occurs!
