Inspect your Equipment

blank This picture is amazing (Thanks yadogg by way of K-Man) - the result of what happens when a small crack decides to propegate quickly. In all seriousness - inspect your bike’s frame and fork every once and a while. It’s part of good overall bike maintenance.

We used to watch some Mtn bike video where a guy’s fork shears off in a gravelly downhill. Ouch.

The best part of this picture is the way in which you can see the tire compress to “comfort” the rider’s fall.

Upon closer inspection Johnny realized that the tires he was racing on were in fact studded ice tires. A mistake he would not make twice.
