Spotted on Stone Way, in the Fremont Neighborhood of Seattle. Can anyone identify that bike? I hadn’t seen it before and the shop girl just said that the owner had bought it from Europe.

I would say it’s a Filibus from Dutch manufacturer Fietsfabriek (I absolutely love their bikes - all of them). The only differences I can find are the padded seat on the rear rack and the apparently partially cut chain cover.

Thanks! It was really cool in person and certainly looked fun.

Hi, actually this type of bike was designed by Michael Kemper from Germany who makes and sells cargo bikes and other ‘special’ bikes in small numbers himself, but also sells designs to companies like the ‘fietsfabriek’ in the netherlands. The bike in question can be found here as well: www.dutch-id.nl/ The designers homepage: www.kemper-velo.de - german only though. I ride a slightly modified version of the ‘filibus’ small brother called ‘Lorri’, which is perfect for my day to day commuting and shopping. (SUB=short utility bike?) regards, jk

Thanks JK,

Check the comments on Flickr also identifying it as a FietsFabriek.
