If I could only work on Bike Hugger full time, I’d photo blog all of the industrial areas we ride through. While Seattle is known for it’s software, tech, and biotech, it’s actually an industrial port city.
Built during the Klondike Gold Rush, the town thrives on boats, planes, trains, and beer like PBR.
These murals are painted on a building in the Georgetown Neighborhood, across the street from the old Brewery.

I live on top of Beacon Hill an often come past this set of murals. As it turns out these paintings were commissioned by Pabst. The original work was done for a traveling PBR art show submitted by individuals from across the country. I don’t now how this particular set was selected, but they were enlarged and painted onto the side of this vacant wood structure.

Thanks. I wondered if that was commissioned. There’s good irony there, of course, as the old Brewery is right across the street and it was just torn down. So that’s a mix of urban culture, with PBR marketing.
