Pressure Leak
Jun 07, 2008 · 06:10 AM · permalink
Following our earlier post about Pressure — Cinelli & RVCA working together with artists on bikes — we acquired a photo of a frame with custom paint by artist Barry McGee.
Considering the design aesthetic, I could see this frame built up with either a retro gruppo or straight-up modern, fixed. How would you build up an art bike? Or would you just hang it on the wall?

‘artbike’? If you’re not riding it, it’s not a bike!
Track bike - that way you can only ride it if it’s dry. Find some old Mavic tubular rims with tied and soldered spokes laced up to Campy hi-flange hubs. Nitto track bars, leather grips, and Fizik’s new “Brown” line of saddles. So hot, but totally raceable.
I’d paint a set of Spinacis to match and make it early 90s retro.
Man! Your just asking to get jacked if that slice of hot-hot-Italian-steel leaves your sight.
Needs a custom painted u-lock!
