Straight up, we’re about the cycling lifestyle. You won’t find a marketing box to put us in. We’re like the Boing Boing of bikes.

The Vision Thing

“That everyone would ride bikes all the time, like they do in Europe … .” While we dream about that, our vision or more our mission, is to promote cycling and do our part to popularize it.

In the Industry

Bike Hugger is working with several partners in the industry on various projects, including design studies like Bettie, new bike products, and concepts. We’ll announce those as they become available and disclose our relationships to our partners when we blog about them.

We spend a lot of time in shops, and Mark V works at one. We believe our success is directly tied to local bike shops

Hugga Jersey We started our Hugga Comfort line with shirts, socks, and now offer jerseys, and more.

Byron, our Publisher and Blogger, is the Principal of Textura Design, Inc a company that specializes in building blogs for companies big and small. He knows so much about blogging, he wrote Publish & Prosper: Blogging for Your Business, a New Riders book. Byron is working now with New Riders on a Twitter title.

Hugger Media

In addition to our blog, we publish photos on Flickr videos on YouTube, and podcasts. We also post non sequiturs on Twitter and give props to our fans on Facebook.

Mobile Socials

The Mobile Socials are an intersection of bikes, technology, and culture. We ride, talk bikes, blog, party, and give away product. Live from the Lab

Along with the Mobile Socials, Bike Hugger is a social media lab for Textura Design. We’re living this online, trying applications out; Twittering this and Facebooking that. We’re having a pretty good time, but also learning what works, doesn’t, and being practical.
