This is awesome—on our first trip to Copenhagen, we saw these everywhere being used in place of the SUV, station wagon, pickup truck, etc, and wondered why we’d never seen one anywhere else. They’re fun, easy to ride, and way more stable than two-wheeled bakfiets and tub bikes.

The all-Flash site is oddly incongruous with the Christiania hippy ethos, though.

thanks for the post guys and the comment that followed it.

regarding the website (from the previous post), the cb owners and I agreed that we should tidy up the image and show all of the uses and how fun riding the bikes can be to america - especially considering their aren’t a whole lot of people in america that know too much about christiania (the place).

but I agree that, on the surface, it is a step away from what those ‘in the know’ would expect.

that aside, the bikes are just as good and the intentions are only the best.

ride on…

will kearins, owner, boxcycles - writing from my apartment across the street from christiania.

Just an FYI they are giving away a FREE bike if they get 100 fans by Dec 1st on thier FB page!! :)
