In these uncertain times, I rode with the certainy of a steel bike on an errand yesterday. The purpose was more of an excuse to get outside, offline, and think about something other than the election and politics. Sure, I dropped off some packages but mostly just cleared my head.
My steel urban whip is the Shinola Runwell and earlier this year, I wrote a vignette about it on Medium for Issue 35.
Into the tech as anyone else, I still appreciate a fine ride on a metal bike.
It’s comforting to know something made out of steel will last.
