While my inbox is full of PR from CES, just got a tip about the Ass Saver. It’s a selfish fender, meant only for yourself and not the person you’re riding with, but also smartly designed to a slide in and out from under the saddle. It’s meant for a bike without fenders, when you get caught in the rain and light enough to carry in your pack.
On the D-Plus, when I’m out riding by myself in the rain, I use the Crud Raceguard. It’s another well-designed fender with a flexy material that folds away if you hit it on a remount and I like the moto style. Use the Crud for regular rides in the rain and I suggest the Ass Saver for the occasional downpours.
