Cold Weather Rides with Gore

Cold weather rides with Gorewear are happening now. Gorewear’s latest cold-weather cycling gear is keeping me warm, dry, and ready for the snow, no matter how harsh the elements. I’ve been out fatbiking below 20 degrees and felt comfortable. Here’s what I’m wearing.

Spinshift Thermo Bib Tights+

Spinshift tights.
Spinshift tights with their best pad and cup.

New for Fall 2024, these thermal bib tights are built to tackle cold, damp winter rides. The thermo-brushed knit fabric provides cozy warmth and a streamlined fit for top-tier performance in chilly conditions. Treated with a DWR (Durable Water Repellent) finish, they fend off freezing rain and front-tire spray with ease, keeping me dry and focused. Featuring GOREWEAR’s advanced brand core seat pad and GOREWEAR cup, these bib tights deliver long-lasting comfort, like the endurance shorts. I don’t ride more than 90 minutes when fatbiking in the snow, but I’m confident I could ride much longer with these tights and jacket if I wanted. Mens, MSRP $180

Finding the perfect balance between warmth and breathability can be tricky, but the Spinshift Thermo Jacket nails it. Built with a slim, jersey-like fit and stretchy materials, this thermal jacket offers incredible mobility and comfort. The densely woven outer fabric resists wind and rain thanks to its DWR finish, while the brushed fleece interior keeps me cozy in the coldest conditions. Additional features include:

  • Innovative one-layer thermo-stretch fabric: Soft fleece interior paired with a durable, technical exterior
  • Wind-resistant, water-repellent, and breathable woven material
  • PFC-free DWR treatment repels drizzle and road spray effortlessly
  • Jersey-like performance fit with soft, ergonomically shaped cuffs at the sleeves and neck for added comfort
  • 360° reflectivity designed using the Johansson motion perception experiment for enhanced visibility
  • 3-gusseted back pocket to store essentials and a safety zip pocket for valuables
  • Silicone gripper on bottom hem to keep the jacket securely in place
  • Weight: 13.3 oz

I layer the new jacket with shake-dry stretch for max comfort plus a dicky. In warmer conditions, I skip a layer. I’ve said this before, Gore’s stuff is so comfortable they could launch an athleisure line. MSRP $220.

GORE-TEX Insulated Gloves

Warm, moisture-wicking, and designed for superior dexterity, these gloves are in rotation. The GORE-TEX ePE liner and Primaloft insulation provide exceptional weather protection without excess bulk, ensuring my hands stay toasty without sacrificing control. Whether I’m braving freezing mornings or gusty descents, these gloves are my new go-to for cold-weather rides.

Frosty

With GOREWEAR’s latest cold-weather lineup, I’m ready for every winter ride—no matter what Mother Nature throws my way, like 16 inches of snow last night! MSRP $100.
