It was like old times last night, I’m out for a ride and another Davidson owner pulls up alongside me. His bike was brand new, mine a decade older.
We talked disc, tire sizes, and the weather. Bill would blush if he heard me say this, but he’s pushing beyond retirement age and still building thoughtful, market-relevant bikes to cyclists in the Pacific Northwest. One of them made it into a book about custom bikes.
My bike was just upgraded to thru-axle disc and the new owner was breaking his in. I’ll get at least another decade out of the Modal.
The newbie’s miles have just started.
