Fernflow liner bib shorts are now available. Slowly but surely, Gorewear
is completing their MTB line and the latest piece is a liner bib. It pairs perfectly with their rugged Fernflow shorts. I appreciate the ruggedization because where I’m riding now, the vegetation is massively overgrown. Trees in a burn scar will also leave a charcoal mark. I’ve had a branch tear a hole in a jersey. I trust the Fernflow pieces aren’t that fragile.
Where the bibs really stand out is they’re designed to prevent overheating, provide comfort, and add pockets. Wide mesh straps breathe easily and don’t dig into your shoulders to make your rides more comfortable as well. The mesh legs increase air flow and breathability. The pad is dual-density and dual layered for the rides where you stay out long.
Gore isn’t marketing compression but it feels like the legs of the bibs are doing so, like the distance bibs.
