First Look: REI CO–OP Cycles
Today on a group ride, I spotted a pre-production REI Co-Op Cycles, the all road bike (fits a 700 X 35 tire), and took photos of it. ICYMI last week at Interbike, REI launched the brand during a media event, and the new bikes will arrive in stores next spring.
So how does it ride? Steve Gluckman, Creative Director, Product Design at REI, told me, “It’s very well mannered.” Note that this bike is not to final spec, it’s a test mule.
The shipping version will retail for about $2,300.00, reasonably equipped with discs, thru axles, Shimano 105, and a high-mod carbon frameset. Take a look at one yourself when they arrive in stores.
