IFMove from Pacific Cycles
When we were in Taiwan last year, Pacific Cycles mentioned a new, improved bike was coming in 13, when I inquired about the IF Mode. Attending SXSW, I won’t see their launch at the Taipei Cycle Show, but here’s their promo video for the IF Move. I’m sure George is very proud of it.
Before 3-D printing was something you did yourself, George’s company was making bike prototypes with them. Here he shows us their printer on his iPhone
Instead of a monocoque frame like the IFMode, the IFMove is built with a boom, a rear triangle, and a more elegant fold.
10s of thousands of computational hours were spent to make a complex fold simple on the IFMode and likely thousands more on the IFMove
