My edit for Digital Photo Pro about the Sony RX100 V ($998.00 on Amazon) is up on their YouTube channel this morning. As I shared here and in issue 43 of our magazine, I took photos with the little camera in Texas, Seattle, the Methow Valley, and Maui.
I didn’t expect a pocket, all-in-one camera to produce images and movies quite like it did. What I liked was the image quality, what I didn’t was the long boot time.
It’s a pocket-sized vacation and travel camera for sure, but also as I learned, quite a bit more and once again indicates Sony’s sensor prowess in the market. After using it for a few months, the RX100 V is the camera I recommend the most to friends and family.
If you’re thinking about getting one, don’t hesitate, it’ll meet your expectations and more. Just don’t expect to get a shot in a hurry.
The RX100 V ships from Amazon for free with Prime and costs $998.00
