From the photography side of Hugga, today Sony announced their new flagship A-mount camera, the α99 II. The a99 II drops in next to the a7R in Sony’s professional line of mirrorless cameras, and an update Sony fans have been waiting for. Worth noting too, that the a99 is what we shot with before the a7 series launches, and got us into mirrorless.
Sony, as they do, has packed the a99 body with new tech, including the Hybrid Phase Detection AF system with 79-point with 42 MP sensor, at 12 fps, across the sensor with continuous focusing, and live view.
Wut?
Exactly!
So you can live view, while shooting 42MP frames, at 12 frames per sec, and instantly play that back.
Wow—with more of this story to follow; including, sample images.
