As @mzsitka observed, the results of the election are like the fog blanketing the Puget Sound this morning
Can’t go under it, can’t go over it, can’t go around it. Gotta go thru it.
And, that’s exactly what we’re gonna do…pedal and recall why we started riding and this blog in the first place.
It gave us an outlet, like pen to paper, or foot to pedal.
It’s what we have to do.
Now and for the next four years. The turn in my mood came from reading Garrison’s editorial in the Washington Post today.
“We liberal elitists are now completely in the clear. The government is in Republican hands. Let them deal with him. Democrats can spend four years raising heirloom tomatoes, meditating, reading Jane Austen, traveling around the country, tasting artisan beers, and let the Republicans build the wall and carry on the trade war with China and deport the undocumented and deal with opioids, and we Democrats can go for a long , brisk walk and smell the roses.”
Sounds good.
There are thousands of miles I haven’t ridden in the Methow Valley yet.
