After teasing it last month, Tern has launched their GSD. I’ll ride one soon enough and share my take for now.
What you need to know is it’s a $3,999.00 category-defining electric bike. The GSD will carry two kids, a week’s worth of groceries but it’s only 180 cm long—shorter than a standard e-bike. It packs down small enough to fit in a large SUB or an urban apartment, and it adjusts to fit riders from 150 – 195 cm—so mom, dad and the kids can all use it.
The most important feature is the all-day, Dual-Battery technology option from Bosch. Charge both batters and you’ve got a 250KM range.
That’s replacing a city car range.
