The Mobile Social is back in Portland for WebVisions and this time we’re bringing Ignite-style presentations about the (un)Wired Future of Bicycles with us.
For some background:
Ignite is a style of presentation where participants are given five minutes to speak on a subject accompanied by 20 slides. Each slide is displayed for 15 seconds, and slides are automatically advanced. The first Ignite was held in 2006 in Seattle, Washington, and was sponsored by O’Reilly Media and MAKE magazine.
I presented during Ignite @ Gnomedex and dug the format so much we’ve been working on bringing it to our events ever since. Discussed the ideas with Brady Forrest, a founder of Ignite, and he was all, “Cool. Do it.”
Yes we’ll ride around Portland too, but with a new twist, a remix of our Moso.
For now, submit your talk. We want to hear it.
