It feels like I’ve written a months worth post content in a week…all while holed up at Hugga HQ because of the bad air quality. Well, the air has finally cleared up and I’m about to head out for a ride but not before sharing the news that Trek has updated their Remedy Trail bike.
It looks fantastic and I’m sure performs as well too. The new Remedy is built up with 27.5˝ wheels and long-travel suspension (150mm or 160mm) and can ran 27.5×2.6 or 27.5×2.8. The new frame also has a slightly steeper seat tube angle for more pedaling efficiency and a fixed lower shock mount that opens up the lower frame area to accommodate stronger, stiffer chainstays.
Of course it’s stiffer and has a slighter steep seat tube angle for better pedaling uphill. The Trek-exclusive frame and suspension tech, includes: ABP, Straight Shot down tube, Knock Block frame defense, RE:aktiv, and RE:aktiv with Thru Shaft.
Available in 5 models (and a frameset), that ship with 1×12 SRAM Eagle drivetrains, the new RockShox Lyrik with DebonAir fork on most models, and wide carbon rims on Remedy 9.8 and Remedy 9.9. That all makes for a trail bike that’s fast on rough singletrack and more capable than ever on big, all-mountain adventures. You can order one in understand black or Miami green.
Prices for complete bikes range between $3,299.99 MSRP and $6,999.99 MSRP, with Remedy 7 and Remedy 9.9 at either end of the spectrum.
See all the specs an options at Trek.com. While their top-shelf spec, the 9.9 retails for $6999, which is a lot of bike for the money. It’s equipped with a 160mm FOX Factory 36 Float fork, 150mm of rear suspension travel with Trek’s exclusive RE:aktiv with Thru Shaft damper, Bontrager Line Carbon wheels with a 54-tooth Rapid Drive rear hub, a 1×12 SRAM X01 Eagle drivetrain, and a Bontrager Line dropper post.
