Velocio winter apparel is in rotation. Unusually cool temperatures are sticking around the Seattle area this spring. Notwithstanding, I don’t spend any time on the trainer. While I’m wearing Gore for subfreezing, wet snowy rides in the North Cascades and all-day performance, I do mix in a brand like Velocio for their style, comfort and approach to layering when I’m in Seattle. I also prefer knickers to tights in the wet because that’s less fabric to get soggy and pull on the pad.
For those of you riding in warm weather, Velocio has just released their Spring Summer 23 kit. It looks as good as their winter stuff. I like the Oxide Red.
Alpine climbing and ski mountaineering inspires Velocio’s design. The kit they sent me is part of the Alpha System. It is light, breathable and warm for dynamic changes in aerobic activity. Knowing that someone else has figured out the layers, I enjoy just grabbing a few pieces out of my gear closest and getting out on the road or trail.
As I have said, Pam wore and is still wearing the women’s overpant at elevation while fatbking in the snow. The Velocio winter apparel I’m wearing includes
This piece reminds me of vintage gear I have just far more comfortable.
For this reason, the jacket is stylish enough to wear off the bike and around town running errands. At any rate, as much time as I spend in Gore, they don’t have apres cycling kit yet. Velocio does.
